How Laser Tattoo Removal Works

Treatment Plan
There is no set number of treatments for laser tattoo removal. Every client, tattoo, and removal goal is unique, including the number of treatments needed. We use factors such as the colors in your tattoo, skin type, the location of your tattoo, personal health, ink quality and density, pre-existing scarring, and more to determine how many treatments you will need.
On average, most clients require a minimum of 3 to 12 treatments depending on your desired results (fading vs. complete removal). Treatments are scheduled 6 to 8 weeks apart to give your skin plenty of time to heal before your next laser session.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many treatments will I need?
On average, most clients need 5 to 12 treatments to remove their tattoo entirely and 3 to 4 treatments for significant fading for a cover-up. During your free consultation, Salvation Laser Center will assess your tattoo and determine the number of treatments needed. Some factors we consider are your tattoo's age, size and location, ink density and depth, previous scarring, personal health, skin type, and more.
When will I see complete results?
Between treatments, a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks is required to give your skin time to heal. To estimate your results, multiply the number of treatments assigned to your tattoo by the 6 to 8-week healing period. Our Astanza Duality penetrates deep into the skin. Does laser tattoo removal hurt?
